The Hive operates on the traditional and ancestral unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We recognize and respect them as nations in this territory, as well as their historic connection to the lands and waters around us.

The Hive is committed to engaging in meaningful partnership with indigenous communities in the spirit of reconciliation and the creation of an inclusive climbing community.

The Hive, where we work and climb, is on the shared, unceded traditional territory of the Katzie, Stó:lō, Semiahmoo, Kwantlen and other Coast Salish Peoples including xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Qayqayt, kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlam) and others that use(d) the Fraser River and so have had a presence in the region.

‍

As climbers and neighbours, we at The Hive are working to engage in meaningful relationships with indigenous communities in the spirit of reconciliation and the support of an inclusive climbing community.
